Our aim is to provide our suppliers more value than they provide us. This is not meant to be scored on a chart, figured, tallied, graded, and finally compared. It's a goal, an intention, a way to orient our mode of cooperation.
The reciprocal model has been nothing but fruitful so far as we've seen this spirit take hold and drive the majority of our supplier relationships in a positive direction.
We are there for support and they are here for support.

WHO WE ARE
We are a community of people, among other things, who love the experience of cultivating, producing, discovering, and drinking amazing teas from around the world.
We are a community of travellers, farmers, athletes, musicians, anthropologists, writers, philosophers, social workers, photographers, painters, craftspeople, humanists, ecologists, filmmakers, educators, and environmentalists. Years ago we were able to create a way to turn our love for tea into a full time pursuit.
Our primary motivation is to provide the same types of amazing teas and accompanying experiences we have been discovering for over half of our lives. We are actively engaged participants of passing along delicious, equitable, clean, and responsibly sourced teas.
We are a community of travellers, farmers, athletes, musicians, anthropologists, writers, philosophers, social workers, photographers, painters, craftspeople, humanists, ecologists, filmmakers, educators, and environmentalists. Years ago we were able to create a way to turn our love for tea into a full time pursuit.

SINECULTURE
SINE from the species "sinensis" (latin for "sino" meaning "from China") + CULTURE from the latin "cultura" or "culture" on the model of agriculture.
The genus of the sinensis plant is "camellia" which includes other species such as Camellia japonica, Camellia sasanqua, and Camellia oleifera. SINE is the most specific taxonomic prefix unique to the plant used for processing traditional teas (not including other botanicals and spices used to make similar infusible drinks).
Sineculture is the art and science of all things related to the cultivation of camellia sinensis plants and all things related to the subsequent harvest, processing, dissemination, steeping methodology, and drinking of tea. With relation to grapes and wine production Sineculture would be the combination and extension of Viticulture, Viniculture, and Oenology.
